Vp44 Cummins Low Fuel Pressure Sensor

VP44 5.9L Low Fuel Pressure Early Warning Sensor
For Cummins 5.9L

Bosch VP44 Dodge Fuel Injection Pump

The number one cause of VP44 Cummins pump failure is a drop in fuel pressure from the feed pump. Normal fuel pressure is around 15 pounds. If the pressure drops below 5 pounds injection pump failure is probable. Drops in fuel line pressure are usually due to a malfunctioning lift pump. Bad lift pumps can run unnoticed until costly damage is done to the injection pump.  Injection pump failure on VP44 Cummins pumps can be directly linked to lift pump failure in the majority of cases. Failure can be prevented with the VP44 Early Warning Sensor. This kit installs easily and can save you thousands of dollars in maintenance and undue headaches.

How it works:
The sensor will detect if the fuel line pressure drops below 5 pounds. When this happens a light mounted on the dash will let the driver know that there is a problem.
